About Me.
Hello and welcome!
My name is Aleni and I am a fine artist based currently located in Bowie, Maryland but originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I recently graduated with a BFA and concentrations in graphic design, photography and ceramics. My work is directly inspired by pop art and activism and art history!

Education
I went to undergrad at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and studied Fine arts with focus in graphics, photo, and ceramics. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was chosen as the University Art Scholar for the class of 2024.

During my time at Xavier, I studied abroad in Italy for 6 weeks in 2022 where I learned philosophy and drawing. At the end of my trip, I participated in a group gallery show featuring 10 of my original works. I was also funded to attend NCECA in March of 2023 and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in the August 2023 where I studied metals/jewelry making and soldering. I have participated in 3 group shows at the Cincinnati Contemporary Art Center, and displayed my own Solo Thesis Exhibition, Biocentric, my senior year. Most recently, I have work on display at the Circle Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland!
My Art
For the last four years, I have explored the blending of digital and tangible art. I am a digital artist at heart and taught myself 3D modeling, sculpting and rendering on the side while being a full time student. I started developing an interest in 3D printing which has changed my art for the better. By being able to print my 3D designs and sculpts, I can truly achieve this blend of digital and tangible work through mixed media art.

I tend to combine my mediums in everything I do. I use sculpture and set design skills in my photography, painting and 3D prints on my ceramic work, and 3D design in my graphics. In general my work focuses on themes of environmental concerns, human rights, and political commentary with touches of humor and irony.
